I am located in Wright City, MO, and I have now been teaching children at a public elementary for about five years. During this time, I have taught fourth graders, fifth graders, and preschoolers. Also, I have stayed after school and helped students who were in need of extra assistance in math and reading.It is my belief that students actively participating during the learning process is much more effective than them just sitting down and listening. Therefore, a teacher should encourage students to explore while learning. Students should learn by being hands on and engaged. This is the reason why I strive to insert stimulating and fun activities when teaching.The areas that I can assist students with include elementary and middle school math, reading, writing, phonics, literature, grammar and mechanics, pre-algebra, ISEE (lower and middle level), math, English, and test prep.I attended William Woods University, and I graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Also, I earned an early childhood endorsement. Currently, I am a graduate student, on the journey to achieving a master's degree in literacy and a special reading certificate.When I am not teaching, my interests include reading, Zumba, and arts and crafts.
